Objective: To describe an optimized protocol for oocyte in vitro maturation (IVM) that achieves improved implantation and ongoing pregnancy rates in women with polycystic ovaries (PCO) and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Design: Prospective cohort study.
Setting: Hospital fertility unit.
Objective: Our objective is to report observed changes in thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in two patients undergoing super-ovulation for IVF.
Design: Case report.
Setting: Private assisted reproduction practices.
Background: Hyperlipidemia associated with clomiphene use is an uncommon but potentiallly serious complication of this therapy. Clomiphene is structurally similar to other synthetic estrogen analogs, which are known to induce marked hypertriglyceridemia. There is a paucity of data regarding the effects of clomiphene on lipid metabolism in humans.
