- Nickel-loaded perovskite oxides catalysts were created for steam gasification of swine manure to produce hydrogen-rich syngas, with unique configurations based on various support materials (X = Ce, Sr, La, Ba, Ca, and Fe).
- The catalysts showed efficient performance with increasing gas yield rates for different perovskite supports, and all variants maintained zero coke formation, signifying good oxygen mobility.
- The best hydrogen selectivity (∼48 vol%) was achieved with 10% Ni/CaTiO, attributed to the synergistic effects of nickel, titanium, and calcium that enhanced the water-gas shift reaction while minimizing catalyst deactivation.
