Background: Hemangiopericytoma (HPC), also known as solitary fibrous tumor (SFT), is a type of soft tissue sarcoma with a special aggressive behavior. - This study analyzes the clinical effectiveness of two treatments, percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) and percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP), for Kümmell's disease using data from 56 patients, split evenly between the two methods.
- Both treatment groups showed no significant differences in age, bone density, or pre-surgery measurements, and they were followed for 24-48 months to compare outcomes.
- Results indicated that while both procedures improved pain and disability scores after surgery and had similar rates of complications, PVP had a shorter operation time and less blood loss compared to PKP, with no significant differences in recovery metrics between the two groups over time.
Background: Femoral neck fractures are the commonly encountered injury in orthopedic practice and result in significant morbidity and mortality. Currently, how to treat femoral neck fractures safely and effectively is still a challenge. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of dynamic compression locking system for femoral neck fractures.
