Background And Aims: We aimed to elucidate a hereditary mutation of coagulation factor XII (FXII) in a consanguineous Chinese family.
Methods: Mutations were investigated using Sanger and whole-exome sequencing. FXII (FXII:C) activity and FXII antigen (FXII:Ag) were assessed using clotting assays and ELISA, respectively.
Introduction: To evaluate Chinese parents' willingness to vaccinate their children against COVID-19, identify its predictors, and provide a reference for raising the COVID-19 vaccination rate for children.
Method: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and the databases in Chinese, including CNKI, WanFang, VIP, CBM, were searched from December 2019 to June 2022, and citation tracking was used to identify relevant studies. To calculate the rate with 95% confidence intervals (CI), a random-effects model was used.
Gastric cancer (GC) continues to be the most common gastrointestinal malignancy in China, and tumor metastases are a major reason for poor prognosis. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are an intriguing type of noncoding RNAs with important regulatory roles. However, the roles of circRNAs in GC metastasis have not been fully elucidated.

However, its effects in gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) remain unknown. In the present study, the expression levels of GOLPH3 and nucleotide‑binding domain leucine‑rich repeat and pyrin domain containing receptor 3 (NLRP3) in human GBC tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the clinical data and survival of these patients were analyzed.

Methods: Cross-sectional study of 1522 cases with initial AMI and 1691 controls without coronary artery disease (CAD) were retrospectively analyzed using logistic regression model. Subjects were categorized based on Lp(a) and BMI and compared with regard to occurrence of AMI by calculating odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
Background: Although stable microRNAs (miRNAs) are present in human peripheral blood and have been considered as novel biomarkers for various diseases. But there is little research about miRNAs as biomarkers of mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN). This study aimed to identify whether there exist disordered circulating miRNAs that can function as biomarkers for MsPGN disease activity.

Background: Gastric cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. MicroRNA-30a (miR-30a) has been demonstrated to be involved in several types of cancer development.
Objective: We aimed to identify the molecular mechanism of miR-30a in gastric cancer.
Objective: To evaluate the interaction effects between lipoprotein (a) (Lp(a)) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) on first incident acute myocardial infarction (AMI) among Chinese Han population.
Methods: 1522 cases and 1691 controls were retrospectively analyzed. All subjects were grouped by Lp(a) or LDL-C level.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide, and emerging lines of evidence have implicated circular RNAs (circRNAs), a novel class of endogenous noncoding RNAs, in CRC development. However, whether plasma circRNAs might be novel diagnostic biomarkers for CRC remains unclear.
Methods: We investigated the plasma levels of selected circRNAs by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR).
Background: Three-dimensional (3D) printing technology is used widely in dentistry for applications including implant surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthognathic surgery, endodontics and prosthodontics. Using a 3D-printed template makes performing the repair procedure faster and more convenient. The aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth can recover facial beauty, enhance speaking and chewing functions and improve the quality of life of the patient.

Methods: We included 1 population for health check-ups. Lp (a) percentile distributions were analyzed and its cutoff for Chinese Han ethnicity was also proposed according to the its relative risk of myocardial infarction.
Risk burdens of modifiable risk factors incorporating lipoprotein (a) (Lp(a)) and low serum albumin (LSA) concentrations for first incident acute myocardial infarction (AMI) haven't been studied previously. Cross-sectional study of 1552 cases and 6125 controls was performed for identifying the association of risk factors with first incident AMI and their corresponding population attributable risks (PARs). Modifiable risk factors incorporating LSA and Lp(a) accounted for up to 92% of PAR for first incident AMI.

Methods: Relative literatures on the fog and haze have been searched and reviewed.

Previous studies have investigated the association of mutS homolog 3 (MSH3) rs26279 G > A polymorphism with the risk of different types of cancers including colorectal cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, thyroid cancer, ovarian cancer and oesophageal cancer. However, its association with cancer remains conflicting. We performed a comprehensive meta-analysis to derive a more precise estimation of the relationship between MSH3 rs26279 G > A polymorphism and cancer susceptibility.

Methods: Cross-sectional study of 3462 cases and 6125 controls was performed for identifying the association of Lp (a) with CAD and its possible interactions with risk factors on CAD in Chinese.
