Characteristics and outcomes of cancer patients admitted to intensive care units in cancer specialized hospitals in China.

Purpose: Standard intensive care unit (ICU) admission policies and treatment strategies for patients with cancer are still lacking. To depict the current status of admission, characteristics, and outcomes of patients with cancer in the ICU.

Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study was performed from May 10, 2021 to July 10, 2021, in the ICU departments of 37 cancer-specialized hospitals in China.

We prospectively analyzed data from cancer patients who were admitted to the ICU without prior planning within the past 7 days, specifically between May 12, 2021, and July 12, 2021. The patients were grouped based on their 90-day survival status, and the aim was to identify the risk factors influencing their survival status.

Effects of carrimycin on biomarkers of inflammation and immune function in tumor patients with sepsis: A multicenter double-blind randomized controlled trial.

Carrimycin is a potential immune-regulating agent for sepsis in patients with tumors. In this study, we investigated its effects on inflammation and immune function in tumor patients with sepsis. In total, 120 participants were randomized to receive either carrimycin treatment (400 mg/day) (n = 62) or placebo (n = 58) for 7 days.

Effect of high-flow nasal cannula versus non-invasive ventilation after extubation on successful extubation in obese patients: a retrospective analysis of the MIMIC-IV database.

Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy for relapsed and refractory thyroid cancer.

The prognosis of most thyroid cancer patients is excellent, but for those with advanced or metastatic thyroid cancer, effective treatments are still lacking. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy has gained remarkable achievements in hematologic malignancy but shown limited efficacy in solid tumors. In this report, we showed a relapsed and refractory thyroid cancer patient treated with TSHR + CD19 CAR-T, a combination of two 2nd generation CAR-T molecules targeting both TSHR and CD19.

Novel lncRNA LINC00941 Promotes Proliferation and Invasion of Colon Cancer Through Activation of MYC.

Purpose: We conducted the study to elucidate how LncRNA LINC00941 affects colon cancer progression and its possible regulatory mechanism.

Methods: The expression level of LINC00941 in colon cancer tissues and cells was detected by qRT-PCR. The function of LINC00941 on colon cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion was detected by CCK-8 and Transwell assay respectively.
