Infectious bone defects pose significant clinical challenges due to persistent infection and impaired bone healing. Icam1 macrophages were identified as crucial and previously unrecognized regulators in the repair of bone defects, where impaired oxidative phosphorylation within this macrophage subset represents a significant barrier to effective bone regeneration. To address this challenge, dual-responsive iron-doped barium titanate (BFTO) nanoparticles were synthesized with magnetic and ultrasonic properties.

Thiamethoxam has been widely used in agriculture due to its excellent insecticidal activity. However, thiamethoxam is prone to loss during practical applications, especially in soil application, which seriously reduces its performance. In this work, thiamethoxam is loaded in ethyl cellulose microspheres to solve this issue, and the thiamethoxam-loaded ethyl cellulose microspheres (thiamethoxam/EC) are facilely and effectively fabricated by emulsified solvent volatilization.

3D printed customized titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V, TC4) as load-bearing prostheses and implants, such as intervertebral cage, were widely used in clinical practice. Natively biological inertia and inadequate bone in-growth of porous titanium alloy scaffolds hampered their clinically application efficiency and then extended healing period. To improve osseointegration capacity of 3D printed intervertebral cage, sandblasting was selected to execute their surface treatment.

Wound healing process has always been a focal point of concern, with a plethora of hydrogel dressings available; however, their therapeutic efficacy remains a hindrance to wound closure. This article reports on a dual-network conductive system, PEDOT:PSS-co-PSBMA/XLG (PPSX) hydrogel dressing, Constructed using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT: PSS) in combination with zwitterionic N, N-dimethyl-N-(2-methacryloyloxyethyl)-N- (3-sulfopropyl) ammonium betaine (SBMA) and nanoclay-synthesized lithium magnesium silicate (XLG). The hydrogel powder produced from it can absorb interfacial water within 30 s via physical interactions to spontaneously form hydrogels of arbitrary shapes.

Microplastics (MPs) exposure to remote areas, including endangered and rare wildlife reserves, has attracted increasing concern. Compared with previous research mostly draws attention to the single exposure of MPs to the environment, greater emphasis should be placed on understanding the complex environmental behaviors of MPs. Therefore, the potential risks of MPs to ecosystems need to be explored in combination with their coexistence with other contaminants, but this is not well-understood.

Waterborne polyurethane (WPU) offers many advantages and is widely used in coatings, leathers, adhesives, biomaterials, and other consumer products. However, WPU is highly flammable. Many reactive flame retardants have been developed, but their char formation efficiency is still unsatisfactory, and the melt dripping during combustion has not been effectively suppressed.

The distribution characteristics of Cr(VI) species in contaminated soil is crucial for soil remediation; however, there is currently a lack of methods for analysing anionic Cr(VI) species in soil. This study has developed a novel sequential extraction method for speciation of Cr(VI) and Cr(III). Besides extraction experiments, simulated chromium species were prepared to verify the presence of proposed chromium species.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate fetal left ventricular function (LVF) in pregnant women with obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome (OAPS) by Doppler ultrasound and developed a clinical nomogram to predict adverse perinatal outcomes.

Methods: In this prospective observational study, 105 pregnant women were enrolled and divided into the OAPS cohort (n = 60) and the control cohort (n = 45). Fetal cardiac function parameters were collected and compared between two cohorts.

Wildlife resources are strategic resources of a country, and the investigation of which is a key task for effective management in protection and utilization. Since the 1990s, two national surveys of terrestrial wildlife resources have been carried out in China, and the situation of wildlife resources has been known to a certain extent. Due to the complexity and difficulty of national wildlife survey, we are still not able to grasp the background and dynamics of wildlife resources as a whole promptly and effectively.

Hypertension is currently highly prevalent worldwide and serves as one of the significant risk factors for chronic diseases and mortality. Adult hypertension can be traced back to, as well as prevented starting in, childhood and adolescence. However, due to the lack of surveillance among children and adolescents, the prevalence and influencing factors of hypertension-related conditions have not been well described.

The purpose of this study was to describe the prevalence of central obesity and its influencing factors among Chinese adults aged 18 or older. The data were from China Nutrition and Health Surveillance (2015-2017), which used a stratified, multistage, random sampling method. A total of 145,298 adults aged 18 years or older from 31 provinces were included in this study.

Objective: To describe and analysis the detection rate of high normal blood pressure and high blood pressure among Chinese children and adolescents aged 7-17 years from 2016 to 2017 according to the clinical practice guideline for screening and management of high blood pressure in Children and Adolescents published by the American Academy of Pediatrics(the AAP reference), the international blood pressure references among Children and Adolescents aged 6 to 17 years(the international reference), health industry standard of the People's Republic of China "Reference of screening for elevated blood pressure among children and adolescents aged 7 to 18 years(WS/T 610-2018)"(the industry reference) and updating blood pressure references for Chinese children aged 3 to 17 years(the guideline reference).

Methods: Data was from the China Nutrition and Health Surveillance of Children and Lactating Women(2016-2017), in which the multistage stratified whole group random sampling method was used to draw participants from 275 surveillance sites in 31 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities). In total, 67 231 participants were included according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Objective: To compare the differences in estimated food, energy, and nutrient intakes between the consecutive 3 days 24-hour dietary recall(24HR)(referred to as the 3-day method) and consecutive 2 days 24HR(referred to as the 2-day method) to provide a basis for the use of consecutive 2 days 24HR in China nutrition surveillance.

Methods: Using objective sampling to select participants in northern and southern provinces, dietary data were obtained through consecutive 3 days 24HR, and the average intakes of food, energy and nutrients were calculated for three days from Thursday to Saturday and two days on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The 3-day method was considered as the reference standard method to evaluate the performance of the 2-day method for estimating food, energy and nutrient intakes.

Atmospheric transport drives the widespread distribution of microplastic (MP) in various ecosystems, posing a growing potential threat to environmental safety and human health. Understanding the source and fate of atmospheric MPs is thus crucial to constrain MP's widespread exposure. However, the source-sink dynamics of atmospheric MPs, especially in remote areas, are uncertain, and their transport routes have yet to be identified.
