Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) hold great promise for next-generation safe, durable and energy-dense battery technology. However, solid-state sulfur conversion reactions are kinetically sluggish and primarily constrained to the restricted three-phase boundary area of sulfur, carbon and solid electrolytes, making it challenging to achieve high sulfur utilization. Here we develop and implement mixed ionic-electronic conductors (MIECs) in sulfur cathodes to replace conventional solid electrolytes and invoke conversion reactions at sulfur-MIEC interfaces in addition to traditional three-phase boundaries.

Invisible in onset and slow in progression, atherosclerosis (AS) is a potential contributor to various atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (ASCVD). By triggering AS, EndMT, the "initiator" of AS, induces the progression of ASCVD such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) and ischemic cerebrovascular disease (ICD), with serious clinical complications such as myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke.

However, little evidence has focused on the effect of age on prognosis. This study aimed to explore whether EC-IC bypass surgery can provide greater benefits than medical therapy alone in specific age groups.

However, the safety and efficacy of FDs for unruptured IVADAs remain unclear. This study was performed to investigate whether FDs-alone are safer and more effective than conventional stent-asisted coiling.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been reported to be involved in the malignant progression of glioma. The role of ZNF503-AS2 in glioma has not been reported.

Grain sorghum has emerged as a promising source for producing alternative proteins, yet current extraction methods lack efficiency. In this study, a novel enzymatic approach using α-amylase and cellulase on sorghum materials was developed to address this challenge. Comparisons were made among the proteins isolated from dry-milled sorghum flours, wet-milled sorghum gluten meals, and sorghum dried distiller's grains (DDG).

The solubility, monomeric and polymeric proteins, and the glutenin and gliadin profiles of the gluten were analyzed. In addition, in vitro digestibility and response against potential celiac disease immune-stimulatory epitopes were investigated.

Tumor-associated macrophages are more likely to become M2-like type macrophages in the immunosuppressive microenvironment. Here, we aimed to investigate the effects and molecular mechanisms of hypoxic glioma-derived exosomes mediated M2-like macrophage polarization.

HIF2α has been well-established as one of the major oncogenic drivers of ccRCC, however, its therapeutic targeting remains a challenge. Through an analysis of proteomic data from ccRCCs and adjacent non-tumor tissues, we herein revealed that Ubiquitin-Specific Peptidase 7 (USP7) was upregulated in tumor tissues, and its depletion by inhibitors or shRNAs caused significant suppression of tumor progression in vitro and in vivo.

Oxidative stress (OS) is closely associated with the IA, but the key regulatory genes involved are still unclear. Through multiomics analysis and experimental validation, we identified two diagnostic markers for IA associated with OS.

Conversion of smooth muscle cells into other adverse cell types in the artery propels the pathogenesis of the disease. Curtailing artery plaque buildup by modulating smooth muscle cell reprograming presents us a new opportunity to thwart coronary artery disease.

However, constructing durable lithium (Li) metal anodes with high cycling efficiency in ASSLSBs remains challenging due to poor interface stability. Here, a compositionally stable, self-lithiated tin (Sn)-carbon (C) composite interlayer (LSCI) between Li anode and solid-state electrolyte (SSE), capable of homogenizing Li-ion transport across the interlayer, mitigating decomposition of SSE, and enhancing electrochemical/structural stability of interface, is developed for ASSLSBs.

However, they suffer from performance deterioration, especially at fast charging and low temperatures. Traditional electrolytes based on carbonated esters have sluggish desolvation kinetics, recognized as the rate-determining step.

However, these materials suffer from poor cycling stability and rapid voltage decay due to lattice displacement and nanostrain accumulation. Here, we introduced an exothermic TiN dopant via a scalable coating method to stabilize LiNiCoMnO (NCM92) materials.

This study aimed to evaluate the perioperative and long-term effects of antithrombotic strategies, identify the populations that would benefit, and explore the predictive factors affecting the long-term outcomes.
Methods: UIA patients undergoing endovascular treatment including stent-assisted coiling or flow diversion between June 2019 and June 2022 were enrolled.
The biomechanical aspects of adjacent segment degeneration after Adult Idiopathic Scoliosis (AdIS) corrective surgery involving postoperative changes in motion and stress of adjacent segments have yet to be investigated. The objective of this study was to evaluate the biomechanical effects of corrective surgery on adjacent segments in adult idiopathic scoliosis by finite element analysis. Based on computed tomography data of the consecutive spine from T1-S1 of a 28-year-old male patient with adult idiopathic scoliosis, a three-dimensional finite element model was established to simulate the biomechanics.

ToBRFV can overcome the resistance to other tobamoviruses conferred by tomato , , and genes, and it has seriously affected global crop production. The rapid and comprehensive transcription reprogramming of host plant cells is the key to resisting virus attack, but there have been no studies of the transcriptome changes induced by ToBRFV in tomatoes.
