Background: This study evaluates the efficacy of integrating MRI deep transfer learning, radiomic signatures, and clinical variables to accurately preoperatively differentiate between stage T2 and T3 rectal cancer.

Methods: We included 361 patients with pathologically confirmed stage T2 or T3 rectal cancer, divided into a training set (252 patients) and a test set (109 patients) at a 7:3 ratio. The study utilized features derived from deep transfer learning and radiomics, with Spearman rank correlation and the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression techniques to reduce feature redundancy.

Understanding the spatial and temporal distribution of small water bodies is essential for managing water resources, crafting conservation policies, and preserving watershed ecosystems and biodiversity. However, existing studies often rely on a single remote sensing data source (optical or microwave), focusing on large-scale, flat areas and lacking comprehensive monitoring of small water bodies in complex terrain. Therefore, considering the complementary advantages of multisource remote sensing (multispectral and SAR), this paper proposes a multispectral and SAR fusion algorithm, named Multispectral and SAR Fusion algorithm (MASF), to better capture the remote sensing characteristics of small water bodies in complex areas.

Background: Breast cancer (BC), the most common form of malignant cancer affecting women worldwide, was characterized by heterogeneous metabolic disorder and lack of effective biomarkers for diagnosis. The purpose of this study is to search for reliable metabolite biomarkers of BC as well as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) using serum metabolomics approach.

Background And Purpose: Liver failure is associated with psychiatric alterations, partly resulting from the increased brain dopamine levels. We investigated the relationship between increased dopamine levels and mental abnormalities using bile duct ligation (BDL) rats and the mechanism by which liver failure increased dopamine levels in SH-SY5Y cells. Behavioural tests were carried out on day 13 and 27 following BDL, along with measurements of dopamine and metabolites, expressions of enzymes and transporters related to dopamine metabolism, and its transport into the cortex and the hippocampus.

A ratiometric fluorescence probe is proposed for sensitive and visual detection of tetracyclinee (TC) based on cascade fluorescence signal amplification induced by bovine serum albumin-stabilized copper nanoclusters (BSA-CuNCs) and yttrium ions (Y). Electrochemical aptasensing systems have been developed for screening low-abundance disease-related proteins, but most of them involve multiple washings and multi-step separation during measurements, and thus are disadvantageous for routine use.
