Effect of Stress Aging on Strength, Toughness and Corrosion Resistance of Al-10Zn-3Mg-3Cu Alloy.

The 7000 series aluminum alloy represented by Al-Zn-Mg-Cu has good strength and toughness and is widely used in the aerospace field. However, its high Zn content results in poor corrosion resistance, limiting its application in other fields. In order to achieve the synergistic improvement of both strength and corrosion resistance, this study examines the response of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance of a high-strength aluminum alloy tail frame under aging conditions with external stresses of 135 MPa, 270 MPa and 450 MPa.

Multivalent Peptide-Functionalized Bioreducible Polymers for Cellular Delivery of Various RNAs.

RNA-based therapeutics have garnered tremendous attention due to their potential to revolutionize protein replacement therapies, immunotherapy, and treatment of genetic disorders. The lack of safe and efficient RNA delivery methods has significantly hindered the clinical translation and widespread application of RNA-based therapeutics. With differing sizes and structures of therapeutic RNA molecules, a critical challenge of the field is to develop RNA delivery systems that accommodate these variations while retaining high biocompatibility and efficacy.

Postfunctionalization of BN-embedded polycyclic aromatic compounds for fine-tuning of their molecular properties.

New BN-embedded, thiophene-fused, polycyclic aromatic compounds with planar geometry were designed and synthesized. The molecules showed excellent stability and chemical robustness. Postfunctionalization on this skeleton was demonstrated with a series of electrophilic bromination, palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling, and Knoevenagel condensation reactions.
