To explore the effect of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) gene antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) on telomerase activity in primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) cells, polymerase chain reaction enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (PCR-ELISA) was used to determine telomerase activity. The expression levels of hTERT protein were assayed by flow cytometry using immunofluorescence labeling. Immunofluorescence assay showed that the expression levels of hTERT protein in AML and CML cells decreased with time after hTERT ASODN treatment.

Telomerase inhibitor targeting telomerase RNA could arrest growth of tumor cells. This study was designed to explore the effect of hTERT gene antisense phosphorothioate oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) on telomerase activity in HL-60 cells.

Objective: To investigate an available method for quantitative diagnosis of zygomatic fractures to quantitatively classify and diagnose the deformities of zygomatic fractures.
Methods: Traditional X-ray, two and three dimensional CT images of 96 patients with zygomatic fractures were measured and analysed by computer-assisted measuring system before and after operation to diagnose the displacement and deformity of the fractures.
