We synthesized a novel Cu cluster and employed it as a building block to further obtain a copper cluster-based MOF material (CCMOF). Compared with the Cu cluster precursor, the periodically constructed CCMOF exhibited better structural stability, and showed enhanced photocatalytic H evolution performance due to efficient mass/charge transportation benefitting from the ordered porous framework structure. This two-step grafting construction strategy is of great significance to the exploration of copper clusters in catalytic applications.

Developing promising luminescent probes for the selective sensing of nitro-explosives remains a challenging issue. Porous luminescent covalent-organic polymers are one of the excellent sensing probes for trace hazardous materials. Herein, fluorescent monomers 1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-formyl-(1,1'-biphenyl))ethane (TFBE) and 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid trihydrazide (BTCH) were selected to build a novel hydrazone connected stable luminescent covalent-organic polymer (H-COP) of high stability by typical Schiff-base reaction.

Nifedipine is widely used as a calcium channel blocker (CCB) to treat angina and hypertension, but it is controversial with respect the risk of stimulation of cancers. In this study, we demonstrated that nifedipine promoted the proliferation and migration of breast cancer cells both invivo and invitro. However, verapamil, another calcium channel blocker, didn't exert the similar effects.

Trans-splicing, a process involving the cleavage and joining of two separate transcripts, can expand the transcriptome and proteome in eukaryotes. Chimeric RNAs generated by trans-splicing are increasingly described in literatures. The widespread presence of antibiotic resistance genes in natural environments and human intestines is becoming an important challenge for public health.
