A multifunctional moxibustion treatment machine is designed and developed to assist the heat-sensitive moxibustion therapy. Through the motion control of the stepping motor by programmable logic controller (PLC), the automatic control is obtained for the acupoint detection of heat-sensitive moxibustion therapy and the manual operation of moxibustion. The skin temperature is monitored in real-time, using infrared non-contact temperature measurement technology.

Sediment bacteria have attracted much attention because of their important roles in energy flow and pollutant cycle transformation. The changes in the spatial distribution pattern of bacteria are the basis for research on the biodiversity generation and maintenance mechanisms. However, there are few studies on the spatial variation in benthic microorganisms and its biogeographic models.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in myocardial function in patients after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery using longitudinal and circumferential strain on speckle-tracking imaging.

Methods: A total of 145 patients who successfully underwent CABG surgery with a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of 50% or greater were enrolled in this study. Patients were classified into 4 groups based on age: group 1 (33-59 years), group 2 (60-64 years), group 3 (65-69 years), and group 4 (70-79 years).

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on Mg₂Ni-type alloys, specifically Mg₂NiCo variants (with varying cobalt content), created using a melt spinning technique and analyzed using advanced characterization methods like XRD and TEM.
  • Results indicate that the alloy with 10% cobalt (x = 0.1) has a nanocrystalline structure, while the 40% cobalt alloy (x = 0.4) has both nanocrystalline and amorphous structures, enhancing its glass forming ability.
  • Enhanced spinning rates significantly improved hydrogen absorption and desorption performance, with notable increases in hydrogen saturation ratio, desorption ratio, diffusion coefficient, and discharge current density for the alloy with 40% cobalt.*
