Article Synopsis
- To enhance the performance and address volume expansion issues of pure SnFeO anodes in lithium-ion batteries, a novel composite of ZnO/SnFeO/nitrogen-doped carbon (ZSFO/NC) was developed using ZIF-8 as a template.
- The ZSFO/NC composite demonstrated impressive initial charge/discharge capacities of 1078.3/1507.5 mAh g and maintained stable capacities of 1495.7/1511.8 mAh g after 300 cycles at 0.2 A g.
- The composite's unique structure and nitrogen-doped carbon matrix helped manage volume changes during charging and discharging while significantly enhancing capacity through surface pseudo-capacitance,
