Natural biopolymer-based liquid mulching films (LMF) have received widespread attention, whereas the fragile structure and limited functionality have severely restricted their application. Herein, polydopamine-coated montmorillonite micro/nanoparticles enhanced pectin-based sprayable multifunctional liquid mulching films (P-MMT@PDA LMF) were prepared. Dopamine has abundant active sites, and its self-polymerization onto the surface of MMT improves the compatibility of MMT with pectin chains, facilitates the homogeneous dispersion of MMT@PDA in pectin polymers, and makes them more tightly entangled through hydrogen bonding.

This study explores the combination of breviscapine (BRE) and matrine (MAT) form an amorphous salt, aiming to synergistically enhance the solubility and dissolution of BRE. In silico analysis of electrostatic potential and local ionization energy were conducted on BRE-MAT complex to predict the intermolecular interactions, and solvent-free energies were calculated using thermodynamic integration and density functional theory.

Background: Recently, a 1-h PG value of ≥ 8.6 mmol/L, a more sensitive predictor of diabetes mellitus-related long-term cardiovascular complications than routine glucose markers, has been recommended as an additional diagnostic criterion for diabetes in the International Diabetes Federation Position Statement. However, its value in MASLD remains uncertain.

The treatment strategies and prognostic estimation for EC depend on accurate pre-treatment tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) staging. The objective of this review was to illustrate the role of various imaging modalities in achieving accurate preoperative TNM staging of EC, with a particular focus on the utilization of advanced high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequences for T classification, which have shown promise in enhancing the delineation of tumor depth and extent.

While most cases are sporadic, a small proportion is associated with genetic syndromes, such as Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN), Von Hippel-Lindau Syndrome (VHL), Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). This review aims to use pNENs as a clue to reveal the full spectrum of disease, providing a comprehensive understanding of diagnosis.

This study aims to explore the feasibility of multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in evaluating TILs and to develop an evaluation model that considers spatial heterogeneity. Multi-parametric MRI was performed on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) mice (N = 28).

Soil quality is defined as the ability of soil to maintain the soil environment and the biosphere. Due to the limitation of salt and alkali stress, soil quality can be reduced, which in turn affects agricultural production. Biochar is widely used in saline-alkali land improvement because of its special pore structure and strong ion exchange ability, while is widely used in saline-alkali land improvement because it can symbiose with plants and improve plant stress resistance.

However, the factors associated with the loss of sustained responses to treatment remain unclear, and we aim to identify them.
Methods: Consecutive treatment-naïve MASLD patients between January 2015 and February 2022, with follow-up until April 2023, were included in this prospective cohort study.
Coated fertilizers have been widely used to improve fertility in barren land. However, improving soil structure and water-retention capacity is also essential for arid and semi-arid areas with sandy soils to promote crop growth. Most currently available coated fertilizers rarely meet these requirements, limiting their application scope.

The application of exogenous microbial fertilizer harbors great potential for improving saline-alkali soil conditions and increasing land productivity. Yet the responses to microbial fertilizer application rate in terms of rhizosphere soil biochemical characteristics, soil microbial community, and crop yield and their interrelationships and underlying mechanisms are still unclear.

This paper combines various techniques in quantum chemical calculations and molecular simulations to provide molecular-level insight into the dynamics of the self-assembly of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) for loading curcumin (CUR). The results indicate that increasing the chain length of NIPAM molecules reduces their efficiency in encapsulating and locking CUR, and electrostatic interactions and van der Waals interactions are the main driving forces behind the evolution of system configurations in these processes.

Parasitoids are valuable biocontrol agents for successfully managing agricultural pests, and they have evolved diversified strategies to adapt to both the physiological condition of hosts and the competition of other parasitoids. Here, we deconstructed the parasitic strategies in a highly successful parasitoid, , which parasitizes a broad range of hosts, including the globally invasive species .

In this work, we report structures of the OR5-Orco heterocomplex from the pea aphid alone and bound to its known activating ligand, geranyl acetate. In these structures, three Orco subunits serve as scaffold components that cannot bind the ligand and remain relatively unchanged.

Here, we use data from 289 residents of an agricultural Tibetan village to assess whether individuals are more inclined to establish supportive relationships with religious individuals in general and to investigate the gender disparities in the relationship between religiosity and personal network characteristics. Our results reveal that participation in religious rituals contributes to the overall development of social support networks.
