Two-dimensional conjugated metal-organic frameworks (2D -MOFs) are emerging as unique electrode materials with great potential for electronic applications. However, traditional devices based on -MOFs often utilize them directly in the powder or nanoparticle form, leading to weak adhesion to the device substrate and resulting in low stability and high noise levels in the final device. In this study, we present a novel approach utilizing thin -MOFs synthesized via a general MOF nanosheet sacrifice approach, enhancing their aspect ratio and flexibility for high-performance electronic applications.

In this study, we construct a quantum well effect-based two-dimensional Z-scheme superlattice heteronanostructure photocatalyst constructed from hydrogen-bonded porphyrin organic frameworks (HOFs) and carbon nitride. Porphyrin HOFs extend spectral absorption, while their π-conjugation and electron density variations significantly enhance charge separation and exhibit favorable alignment with the energy levels of carbon nitride, thereby enabling efficient charge transfer. Carboxylic acid channels in the HOFs further promote the decomposition of water molecules, thereby boosting hydrogen production.

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a common pediatric emergency primarily afflicting preterm infants, yet its mechanisms remain to be fully understood. Here, we report that plasma fibroblast growth factor (FGF)19, a target of farnesoid X receptor (FXR), was positively correlated with the clinical parameters of NEC. We propose a reliable and simple approach for dispersion engineering in lithium niobate microring resonators (MRRs). With strong coupling-induced mode hybridization and inverse design method, we overcome the large normal dispersion and achieve broadband frequency comb coverage near 525 nm. However, it remains unclear how to achieve long spin relaxation time at room temperature in 2D c-MOFs via a bottom-up design strategy. Herein, we design a hexahydroxytrithiatruxene ligand (HHTH) to minimize the influence of nuclear spin on electron spin relaxation while weakening -π conjugation to construct a "spin docking" for preserving spin centers, which enables the resulting 2D c-MOFs, NiHHTH, to exhibit quantum coherence and Rabi oscillations at room temperature.

In this paper, a model for simulating the shot noise power and the electronic noise power of a balanced homodyne detector (BHD) using cascaded low noise amplifiers (LNAs) is presented. Moreover, the factors influencing the enhancement of BHD gain flatness are analyzed. Based on these theories, a BHD with a large clearance between shot noise and electronic noise, along with a flat broadband frequency response, is designed using LNAs and an optimized printed circuit board design.

Stylo (Stylosanthes guianensis) is an important tropical legume with superior tolerance to manganese (Mn) toxicity, which severely constrains plant growth, especially in tropical acid soils. However, the mechanisms underlying Mn tolerance in stylo remain largely unknown. In this study, excess Mn-caused growth inhibition was observed in stylo shoots but not roots, accompanied by increased activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase, as well as elevated concentrations of ascorbate and glutathione, which may contribute to oxidative stress scavenging under Mn toxicity.

Wastewater treatment is a key component in maintaining environmental health and sustainable urban life, and the rapid development of micro/nanotechnology has opened up new avenues for more efficient treatment processes. This work developed a novel biohybrid microrobot for the efficient adsorption of a series of organic pollutants in water-the microrobot with a biodegradable Spirulina skeleton and biocompatible ZIF-8 skin. The microrobot not only has a low-cost and simple preparation method but also shows attractive propulsion in various contaminant solutions (including rhodamine B, methylene blue, and methyl orange) under a low-intensity (3 mT) rotating magnetic field and has excellent directional control.

Background: To identify new intervention targets, we explored the correlation between cytokines and the development of refractory status epilepticus (RSE) in patients with severe viral encephalitis (SVE).
