Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), an essential hydrolase with crucial roles in living organisms, has widely been regarded as a biomarker for various human diseases in clinical diagnoses. Herein, taking advantage of cobalt oxyhydroxide (CoOOH) nanoflakes and nonenzymatic cascade recycling amplification (CRA), a highly sensitive and label-free fluorescence biosensing strategy for the determination of ALP activity is introduced. In our design, ALP can promote the dephosphorylation of l-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (AAP) to reduce ascorbic acid (AA), which is then able to decompose CoOOH in a nucleic acids@CoOOH nanocomplex into Co cofactors.

Background: The aim of this study was to test the effectiveness, safety and stability of the 5G communication technology in clinical laparoscopic telesurgery.

Methods: An ultra-remote radical cystectomy (network communication distance of nearly 3000 km) was performed on patient diagnosed with T2N0M0 stage bladder cancer using a domestically produced "MicroHand" surgical robot.

Results: The network delay, operative time, blood loss, intraoperative complications, postoperative recovery, and hospitalisation time were recorded.

Introduction: The prognosis of patients with advanced metastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma (mCRC) after multiple-line therapy remains poor due to the high tumour load, high level of malignancy and strong drug resistance. The application of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) blockade alone for patients with microsatellite stable/proficient mismatch repair (MSS/pMMR) mCRC is ineffective. By combining angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy, atomic force microscope based piezoresponse force microscopy and first-principles calculations, we have studied the low-energy band structure, atomic structure, and charge polarization on the surface of a topological semimetal candidate TaNiTe_{5}. Dirac-like surface states were observed on the (010) surface by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, consistent with the first-principles calculations. On the other hand, piezoresponse force microscopy reveals a switchable ferroelectriclike polarization on the same surface.

A microfluidic manipulation system that can sense a liquid and control its flow is highly desirable. However, conventional sensors and motors have difficulty fitting the limited space in microfluidic devices; moreover, fast sensing and actuation are required because of the fast liquid flow in the hollow fibre. To identify the key soil factors influencing the vegetation differentiation in the coastal tidal flats of the Yellow-Bohai Sea in China, this study investigated the corresponding relationship between the (SA), (SS), and (PA) communities and their respective soil factors with published data, and combined the ecological strategy for analysis. The results showed a corresponding relationship between community and soil factors. The SA community had a lower bulk density (BD) and higher soil total nitrogen (TN), and the SS community was the opposite, while the PA community had the lowest salinity and higher TN.

Although the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been widely detected in wastewater in many countries to track the COVID-19 pandemic development, it is still a lack of clear understanding of the persistence of SARS-CoV-2 in raw sewage, especially after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic event. To fill this knowledge gap, this study conducted a field trial on the SARS-CoV-2 presence in various wastewater facilities after the end of the COVID-19 epidemics in Beijing.
