Purpose: Anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) therapy is a standard of care in recurrent and/or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (RMHNSCC). Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (VEGFR-TKI) have immunomodulatory properties and improve clinical outcomes in combination with anti-PD-1 therapy in different malignancies.
