A new colorimetric fluorescent sensor QPEBT was developed by merging the N,N-di(2-picolyl)ethane-1,2-diamine and 2,2'-bithiophene moieties into the quinolimide backbone. QPEBT could sensitively detect Zn through the remarkable fluorescence enhancement with distinct color changes from light orange to pink in visible light and from ginger to orange-yellow in 365 nm UV irradiation. The 1:1 stoichiometry between QPEBT and Zn was verified by the spectra titrations, Job's and HRMS analyses, and theoretical calculations.

The rising demand for plant-based meat analogues presents challenges in replicating the sensory qualities of animal meat. This study investigates the impact of Pichia-derived porcine myoglobin (PMb) and bovine hemoglobin (BHb) on the flavor profile, sensory attributes, macrostructure, color, and texture of high-moisture extruded soy protein concentrate-wheat gluten. The addition of PMb and BHb significantly altered the flavor profile by decreasing aldehyde content (hexanal and nonanal), while the contents of ketones (2,3-octanedione and 3,5-octadien-2-one), pyrazines (2-ethyl-6-methylpyrazine), and furans (2-pentylfuran) were increased.

Using the e^{+}e^{-} collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, at center-of-mass energies from the threshold to 4.95 GeV, we present precise measurements of the cross section for the process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-} using a single-tag method. The resulting cross section line shape exhibits several new structures, thereby offering an input for a future coupled-channel analysis and model tests, which are critical to understand vector charmonium-like states with masses between 4 and 5 GeV.

Thus, precisely adjusting the synergistic adsorption among key reactive species, such as HMF and OH, on the carefully designed catalyst surface is essential for achieving satisfactory catalytic performance for HMF oxidation to FDCA as it is closely related to the adsorption strength and configuration of the reaction substrates. Facile pesticide nanocapsules were successfully prepared by directly encapsulating the antisolvent precipitation of pesticides through instantaneous "on site" coordination assembly of tannic acid and Fe, avoiding tedious preparation, time consumption, and large amounts of organic solvents. The pesticide nanocapsules showed excellent resistance to ultraviolet photolysis and rainwater washing owing to the nanocapsule walls. The smart pesticide nanocapsules exhibited the controlled release of pesticides under multidimensional stimuli, such as acidic/alkaline pH, glutathione, HO, phytic acid, laccase, tannase, and sunlight, which were related to the physiological and natural environments of crops, pests, and pathogens.
