The aim of this study is to determine the biological function of serum interleukin-18 (IL-18) on prognosis in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).From October 2016 to September 2017, 150 patients with ARDS in the ICU were enrolled according to the Berlin 2012 definition. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the expression level of IL-18 in serum isolated from the patients.
