sEH activity is associated with mortality in patients with ARDS: a retrospective cohort study.

We hypothesized plasma sEH activity correlates with mortality in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) patients. Adult patients diagnosed with ARDS enrolled between 2017 and 2019 were included in this study. A total of 337 adult patients met our inclusion criteria.

The aim of this study is to determine the biological function of serum interleukin-18 (IL-18) on prognosis in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).From October 2016 to September 2017, 150 patients with ARDS in the ICU were enrolled according to the Berlin 2012 definition. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the expression level of IL-18 in serum isolated from the patients.
