- The study evaluated the prevalence of arrhythmias, device interventions, and mortality in patients with dilative cardiomyopathy who had implanted cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD) or CRTD aimed at preventing sudden cardiac death (SCD).
- Data were collected from 360 patients, focusing on their medical history, device interventions, arrhythmias experienced, and outcomes over a mean follow-up period of 768 days.
- Results indicated a significant occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias, particularly in patients with CRTD, low left ventricle ejection fraction, diabetes, and other health issues, with some patients experiencing device interventions and a small number succumbing to heart failure complications.

Aim of the study was investigated the electrical properties of the endocavitary pacemaker leads, considered the possibility of manufacturing a longlasting pacemaker ("lifetime pacemaker") and examined the preference of patients in relation to dimensions of the implanted device.
Materials And Methods: The investigation included 190 electrodes with cathodes coated with titanium nitride (TIJ and TIR), 244--coated with iridium (SXA and SXV) and 90--coated with black platinum (DXA and DXV).
