What is the mindful personality? Implications for physical and psychological health.

Given the paucity of research examining relationships between mindfulness and specific facets of personality, we conducted detailed analyses to explore associations between personality facets, dispositional mindfulness, and health. Overall, 781 participants completed the Five Factor Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), the Big Five Inventory-2 (BFI-2) to measure personality factors and facets, and the RAND 36-Item Health Survey 1.0 (RAND-36).

Impact of the 2016 Canadian Lipid Guidelines on Daily Practice at a Community Hospital.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the impact of the 2016 Canadian cardiovascular society guidelines for the management of dyslipidemia. More specifically, we assessed the use of 1) alternate lipid targets when triglyceride (TG) levels are high; and 2) nonfasting lipid testing.

Introduction: Emergency department (ED) crowding compromises patient outcomes. Existing crowding measures are complex and difficult to use in real-time. This study evaluated readily available single flow variables as crowding measures.

Multidimensional evaluation of a mental health court: Adherence to the risk-need-responsivity model.

The current study examined the impact of a mental health court (MHC) on mental health recovery, criminogenic needs, and recidivism in a sample of 196 community-based offenders with mental illness. Using a pre-post design, mental health recovery and criminogenic needs were assessed at the time of MHC referral and discharge.
