[Cannabis and its association with psychosis: What do we know?].

Psychoses are a group of diseases that cause enormous health and emotional burden for the patient and their families. In recent decades, the need for early intervention to improve their prognosis has been highlighted. It has long been postulated that cannabis use is a risk factor added to other factors such as genetics and developmental abnormalities.

Understand that in addition to the problems inherent to mental conditions the people suffer associated medical conditions that further complicate their condition and endanger its vitality is paramount. Of course this requires fundamental premise construct understanding of mental health within the medical model of care.
