Three new Microbacterium species isolated from the Marmara Sea mucilage event: Microbacterium istanbulense sp. nov., Microbacterium bandirmense sp. nov., Microbacterium marmarense sp. nov.

Three bacterial strains, Mu-43, Mu-80, and Mu-86, were isolated from the 2021 and 2022 mucilage event in the Marmara Sea and were taxonomically characterized. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis confirmed that these strains belong to the genus Microbacterium. A polyphasic approach involving genomic and phenotypic analysis was employed to determine their taxonomic positions.

Listeria monocytogenes from different sources: The serotyping, genotyping, virulotyping, and antibiotic susceptibilities of the recovered isolates.

It was aimed at serotyping, genotyping, determining various virulence genes, and investigating antibiotic susceptibilities of Listeria monocytogenes isolates recovered from different sources in the current study. For this purpose, a total of 70 L. monocytogenes isolates including 22 chicken, 20 fish, 18 sheep, and 10 cattle origin were used.

The strain M-43 was isolated from the Oncorhynchus mykiss from a fish farm in Mugla, Turkey. Pairwise 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis was used to identify strain M-43. The strain was a member of the genus Myroides sharing the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence identity levels of 98.
