Objective: Tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) are crucial in the progression and treatment response of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). TAMs infiltrate OSCC, adopting an M2-like phenotype that promotes tumour growth, metastasis and immune suppression. The current narrative review explored the roles of TAMs in OSCC, focusing on their impact on the tumour microenvironment, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis, immunosuppression and potential therapeutic targeting.

Methods: Thirty pediatric patients with rhupus syndrome and 15 adult patients with rhupus syndrome were included in this study. Similarities and differences between both groups were evaluated.
Background: Standardized nursing terminologies play a crucial role in describing and documenting nursing care. For students, learning the components of the NANDA-I terminology-such as defining characteristics and related factors-accurately is essential for determining nursing diagnoses. However, there is a notable lack of qualitative studies investigating Turkish nursing students' experiences with these terminologies.

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of regorafenib as a third-line treatment for patients with recurrent glioblastoma who progressed while taking bevacizumab-based therapy.
Methods: This retrospective, multicenter study in Turkey included 65 patients treated between 2021 and 2023 across 19 oncology centers.
Introduction: The neural substrates of reasoning, a cognitive ability we use constantly in daily life, are still unclear. Reasoning can be divided into two types according to how the inference process works and the certainty of the conclusions. In deductive reasoning, certain conclusions are drawn from premises by applying the rules of logic.

The aim of this study was to determine whether multiple organ dysfunctions that may accompany HIE in infants are correlated with vasoactive inotrope score (VIS), renal score (RS), fibrosis-5 index (FIB-5), and lactate-albumin ratio (LAR), and whether these parameters can predict morbidity and mortality.
Methods: This is a retrospective study, and 106 newborns diagnosed with HIE and treated with hypothermia were included in the study.
Although the antiallergic properties of compounds such as CAPE, Melatonin, Curcumin, and Vitamin C have been poorly discussed by experimental studies, the antiallergic properties of these famous molecules have never been discussed with calculations. The histamine-1 receptor (H1R) belongs to the family of rhodopsin-like G-protein-coupled receptors expressed in cells that mediate allergies and other pathophysiological diseases. In this study, pharmacological activities of FDA-approved second generation H1 antihistamines (Levocetirizine, desloratadine and fexofenadine) and molecules such as CAPE, Melatonin, Curcumin, Vitamin C, ADMET (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, Toxicity) profiles, density functional theory (DFT), molecular docking, biological targets and activities were compared by calculating.

Chromatographic methods (GC-FID, HPLC) were employed to characterize FA, PC, and VC profiles, while quality parameters, antioxidant activities (TAC, ABTS, DPPH) were assessed via spectrophotometry. The analysis revealed a complex composition of 40 volatile compounds, with estragole, 7-hydroxyheptene-1, and 3-methoxycinnamaldehyde as the primary components.

Conventional treatments such as bone grafts and cell transplantation face limitations, including the need for multiple surgeries, complications, and safety concerns.
Objective: This paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the role of exosomes (EXOs) in CMF and dental tissue regeneration and to explore their potential applications in regenerative dental medicine.
Objective: The primary objective of this study was to identify the risk of metastasis to lymph nodes above the inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) in endometrioid-type endometrial cancer (EC) and the factors that influence metastasis.
Methods: The study included patients who had been operated on for endometrioid-type EC in three gynecological oncology centers between 2007 and 2023. The supramesenteric lymph node (SM-LN) is the region between the left renal vein and the IMA, whereas the inframesenteric lymph node (IM-LN) is the region between the IMA and the aortic bifurcation, as determined by the level of the IMA.
Background: Lactating women's food intake timing may play a critical role in maternal and infant nutrition health. We aimed to examine associations of breastfeeding mothers' diet quantity and circadian timing of food intake with subsequent weight status of exclusively breastfed infants over a 6-month period.
Methods: This prospective observational study comprised pairs of healthy singleton breastfed infants and their corresponding healthy lactating mothers.
Unlabelled: Allan-Herndon-Dudley syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by motor and intellectual disabilities. Despite its rarity, there has been a rise in interest due to ongoing research and emerging therapy suggestions. In this multicenter, retrospective, cross-sectional study, the genetic characteristics and clinical data of twenty-one cases of genetically confirmed MCT8 deficiency were evaluated.

Background: AI can significantly improve nursing students' learning experiences, helping them to be better prepared for the challenges of a rapidly changing healthcare environment. By ensuring that materials are prepared in accordance with students' individual learning styles, preferences and needs, AI can both improve the effectiveness of educational materials and contribute to better learning outcomes.

Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted in a university-affiliated hospital. A total of 55 women who underwent unilateral laparoscopic endometrioma removal were included in the study.
Background: After natural disasters, the urgent need for survival and rescue operations for those trapped in the rubble results in a heightened demand for healthcare services. Nurses are pivotal in addressing the consequences of such calamities. Nurses operating in critical conditions encounter numerous challenges, including safety issues and ethical quandaries.

Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder, primarily observed in populations around the Mediterranean Sea, linked to MEFV gene mutations. These mutations disrupt inflammatory responses, increasing pyrin-protein production. Traditional diagnosis relies on clinical symptoms, family history, acute phase reactants, and excluding similar syndromes with MEFV testing, which is expensive and often inconclusive due to heterozygous mutations.

This guideline was prepared by the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine to define the conditions and requirements for an outsourced preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) programme in line with the experience and needs of practitioners. This guideline is intended to be a reference document for assisted reproductive technology centres, genetic diagnosis centres, non-governmental organizations working on reproductive health, legal experts, consultants working on laboratory accreditation, academicians specializing in ethical issues, and policy makers. The Consortium aims to provide recommendations addressing the challenges of genetic testing, especially PGT for monogenic diseases (PGT-M) due to the high rate of consanguineous marriage in Turkey.
