Human trichinosis is a serious foodborne parasitic zoonosis. Diagnosing human trichinosis is usually difficult due to the nonspecific clinical picture and the limited effectiveness of serological tests in acute infections. While ELISA can detect circulating Trichinella antigens, aiding in early diagnosis, its sensitivity may be low.

Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages is the third goal of the sustainable development plan, so it was necessary to identify the most important problems that threaten health in our world. The World Health Organization declared that antibiotic resistance is one of the uppermost global public health threats facing humanity and searching for new antibiotics is slow. This problem can be approached by improving available drugs to combat various bacterial threats.

In this study, we shed light for the first time on the usage of migratory locusts () as an insect model to investigate the nanotoxicological influence of aluminum oxide (AlO) nanoparticles at low doses on testes, and evaluate the capacity of a whole-body extract of American cockroaches () (PAE) to attenuate AlO NPs-induced toxicity. Energy dispersive X-ray microanalyzer (EDX) analysis verified the bioaccumulation of Al in testicular tissues due to its liberation from AlO NPs, implying their penetration into the blood-testis barrier. Remarkably, toxicity with Al engendered disorders of antioxidant and stress biomarkers associated with substantial DNA damage and cell apoptosis.

The structured abstract is combined from two parts: CONTEXT: The adsorption behavior of amphetamine (AMP) on the surface of ABW-aluminum silicate zeolite was implemented with a computational depiction. Studies of the electronic band structure (EBS) and density of states (DOS) were conducted to demonstrate transition behavior attributed to aggregate-adsorption interaction. Thermodynamic illustration of the studied adsorbate was studied to investigate the structural behavior of the adsorbate on the surface of the zeolite adsorbent.

Computational tools in investigating of spectral heterocyclic compounds ranges based on pyrimidine‑2‑thiones, take some importance in identifying their molecular and electronic behavior. Some charcoal heterocyclic compounds were previously synthesized in our laboratory and their experimental results were compared with the computational evaluation. Computational spectroscopic analytical items (IR, NMR and UV-Vis) were calculated using the more popular DFT methods and the predicted results were compared with the reported experimental ones.

An innovative charge-transfer complex between the Schiff base 2-((2-hydroxybenzylidene) amino)-2-(hydroxymethyl) propane-1,3-diol [SAL-THAM] and the π-acceptor, chloranilic acid (CLA) within the mole ratio (1:1) was synthesized and characterized aiming to investigate its electronic transition spectra in acetonitrile (ACN), methanol (MeOH) and ethanol (EtOH) solutions. Applying Job`s method in the three solvents supported the 1:1 (CLA: SAL-THAM) mole ratio complex formation. The formation of stable CT- complex was shown by the highest values of charge-transfer complex formation constants, K, calculated using minimum-maximum absorbance method, with the sequence, acetonitrile > ethanol > methanol DFT study on the synthesized CT complex was applied based on the B3LYP method to evaluate the optimized structure and extract geometrical and reactivity parameters.
