Objectives: Grape seed oil (GSO) has recently gained popularity due to its anticancer properties. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of combining cisplatin (CP) and GSO in tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) treatment.

Methods: In this study, human tongue carcinoma cell line (HNO-97) was treated with CP and GSO alone or in combination.

Background: Successful endodontic therapy is mainly governed by the satisfactory sealing ability of the applied root canal sealer. Also, tolerability of root canal structure to accommodate the presence of a sealer participates in the efficiency of the treatment. Hence, this study was aimed to extrapolate our previous one that was concerned with the preparation and evaluation of novel nature-based root canal sealers.

Thyroidectomy induces thyroglobulin formation by parotid salivary glands in rats.

Structural changes in parotid gland (PG) were previously reported following ablation of thyroid gland. However, the functional alterations (especially for proteins) have not been elucidated yet. Herein, we investigated the effect of rat thyroidectomy on PG structure and protein content and studied the ability of thyroxin-supplementation to alleviate the associated structural and functional changes.
