This study proposes a flexible and stretchable 3D polymer film with photonic crystals for the visible detection of spoiled milk. Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) was used as the substrate for the photonic crystal structure. The back barrier layer with a regular array of nanohemispheres of anodic aluminum oxide film was used as a template for electroforming a nickel mold.

The label-free biosensor has emerged as an effective tool for the purpose of early detection of causative pathogens such as as a preventive measure. In this study, a biorecognition-element-free interdigitated microelectrode (IDμE) sensor is designed and developed with this in mind, with good reliability and affordability. Results show that the designed sensor can identify with good selectivity using an impedance and capacitance of 7.
