Release studies of the anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil from chitosan-banana peel extract films.

5-F-lourouracil is an anticancer drug used for the treatment of different types of cancers. 5-flourouracil loaded chitosan-banana peel extract films were prepared for the in vitro drug release studies. Solvent casting technique was employed to prepare the films.
