Lipid peroxidation (LPO) is a complex process that, depending on the context, can either result in oxidative injury or promote redox homeostasis. LPO is a series of reactions in which polyunsaturated fatty acids are attacked by free radicals that result in the synthesis of lipid peroxides. LPO can alter membrane fluidity and operation and produce secondary products that amplify oxidative stress.

Article Synopsis
  • Bio-inoculation involves beneficial microorganisms, particularly Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), that enhance plant growth through various mechanisms such as improving root development and nutrient solubilization.
  • PGPR serve as biofertilizers and support bioremediation efforts, helping to reduce the reliance on chemical fertilizers in agriculture.
  • The review explores how plant and microbial signaling pathways interact under environmental stress, shedding light on their combined influence on plant growth and resilience.
