Due to the increase in fungal resistance to existing drugs, a need exists to search for new antifungals. This study aimed to evaluate the antifungal activity of α, β, and δ-damascone and inclusion complexes with β-cyclodextrin against different Candida spp. The inclusion complex of β-damascone was prepared by the co-evaporation method using three molar proportions (1:1; 2:1; 3:1 (βDA-βCD)) and analyzed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

The present study aimed to investigate the antibacterial and modulatory activities of (+)-β-citronellol (βCT), β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), and their complex βCT/β-CD and characterize them using infrared spectroscopy. Infrared spectra were recorded in the 750-4000 cm region. The antibacterial effects of these compounds and their modulatory-antibiotic activities were determined using the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) test.

. (Combretaceae) is commonly found in the Northeast Region of Brazil and is known for several bioactivities, including antimicrobial ones. Because of increasing bacterial antibiotic resistance, natural products from several plants have been studied as putative adjuvants to antibiotic activity, including products from .
