Due to the substantial emissions of global CO, there has been growing interest in nitrogen-enriched porous carbonaceous materials that possess exceptional CO capture capabilities. In this study, a novel N-enriched microporous carbon was synthesized by integrating waste polyamides with lignocellulosic biomass, involving carbonization and physicochemical activation. As-synthesized adsorbents demonstrated significant characteristics including a high specific surface area (1710 m/g) and a large micropore volume (0.

Unfortunately, interspecific interactions are often overlooked when assessing the impacts of environmental changes on endangered species. In this study, we examined niche similarities and habitat overlaps between wild Crested Ibis and sympatric Egret and Heron species (EHs) in Shaanxi, China, using Ecological niche models (ENMs).

The series includes two parts, articulating the two novel avenues of research on intelligent fault diagnosis (FD) for nonlinear feedback control systems. In Part I of the series, we design a novel FD paradigm by elaborating an invertible neural network (INN) for feedback control systems. With the aid of a left manifold, the core idea behind the INN-based FD scheme is as follows: 1) formulation of residual generator used for FD as a projection of system data onto the null space that has the same dimension as system outputs; 2) in a topological space, elaboration of a homeomorphism that delivers an invertible relationship between system outputs and residual signals when the system input is given; and 3) skillful introduction of both the master and slave objective functions to achieve system/parameter identification with information loseless property.

To understand the characteristics of energy distribution and the dynamic change process of water and heat fluxes within the maize farmland ecosystem in the old course of Yellow River and their response to meteorological factors, we utilized the eddy covariance measurements and the full-element automatic weather station to continuously observe energy fluxes and conventional meteorological elements of summer maize farmland in the old course of Yellow River during 2019-2020. We analyzed the variation of energy fluxes and the effects of environmental factors, such as temperature, precipitation, and wind speed.

Herein, a core/shell hydrogel with multiple-effect combination is designed to first exert antitumor and antibacterial activities and then promote osteogenesis. Specifically, doxorubicin (DOX) is loaded by magnesium-iron-based layered double hydroxide (LDH) to prepare LDOX, which is introduced into a thermo-sensitive hydrogel to serve as an outer shell of the core/shell hydrogel, meanwhile, LDH-contained liquid crystal hydrogel, abbreviated as LCgel-L, is served as an inner core.

Thus, the primary aim of this study was to screen for combinations of differentiation-inducing factors (DIF) using single-factor experiment and orthogonal experimental design under two-dimensional culture conditions for ADSCs. The results showed that a combination of DIF consisting of 1 μmol/L dexamethasone, 0.

It has been widely adopted for the construction of fluorescent materials for broad applications. Here, we further expanded the utilization of α-cyanostilbene derivatives for the detection of hypoxia or proteostasis imbalance in live cells.

However, despite extensive efforts over the past decade, scalable methods to fabricate ultra-short channel VFETs remain challenging. Here, we demonstrate a layer-by-layer transfer process of large-scale indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) semiconductor arrays and metal electrodes, and realize large-scale VFETs with ultra-short channel length and high device performance.

This study aimed to estimate the association of individual urinary exposure to multiple elements with GPL and GC.
Methods: A case-control investigation was conducted in Anhui Province from March 2021 to December 2022.
Background: The development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is closely related to hypoxia in the prostatic stroma, and the hypoxia-inducible factor-1α/vascular endothelial growth factor (HIF-1α/VEGF) pathway has been shown to significantly activate in response to hypoxia. The underlying mechanism for activation of this pathway in the pathogenesis of BPH remains unclear.
Materials And Methods: We constructed HIF-1α overexpression and knockdown BPH stromal (WPMY-1) and epithelial (BPH-1) cell lines, which were cultured under different oxygen conditions (hypoxia, normoxia, and hypoxia + HIF-1α inhibitor).
The aim of this study was to explore the effects of low-frequency ultrasound (US) combined with microbubbles (MBs) on breast cancer xenografts and explain its underlying mechanisms. A total of 20 xenografted nude mice were randomly divided into four groups: a group treated with US plus MBs (the US + MBs group), a group treated with US alone (the US group), a group treated with MBs alone (the MBs group), and a control group. In different groups, mice were treated with different US and injection regimens on an alternate day, three times in total.
