In retinal degeneration diseases such as dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), Müller Glial Cells (MGCs) in mammals undergo a process of reactive gliosis leading to the progression of dry AMD. Here, It is demonstrated that exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSC exosomes) and MSC exosomes loaded with LncRNA H19, acting as nanotherapeutics, can be regulated by MGCs in dry AMD. In the in vivo study, MSC exosomes were administered via intravitreal injection.

In the GH11 family of xylanases, the cord region, a dynamic peptide linker connecting the "thumb" and "palm" regions, exhibits remarkable flexibility. To reveal the structure-function relationship in this region, saturation mutagenesis was performed on the cord segment of XynASP, a xylanase derived from Aspergillus saccharolyticus JOP 1030-1 GH11. Among the generated mutants, two variants, D116S and E119V, showed superior enzymatic properties and were subsequently combined to generate XynASP-SV.

This work proposes a large aperture liquid crystal lens array based on a novel layered combined electrode (LCE) structure. A large aperture (800µm) is achieved by strategically positioning pixel electrodes on either side of the LC lens and auxiliary electrodes at its center. Background: The complexity of delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) may require the simultaneous analysis of variant types of protein biomarkers to describe it more accurately. In this study, we analyzed for the first time the alterations of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteins in patients with aSAH by multi-targeted Olink proteomics, aiming to reveal the pathophysiology of DCI and provide insights into the diagnosis and treatment of aSAH.
