Enhancement of Interfacial Charge Transfer of TiO/Graphene with Doped Ca for Improving Electrical Conductivity.

Imparting surface coatings with conductivity is an effective way to prevent fire and explosion caused by electrostatic discharge. TiO is a commonly used paint; however, intrinsic TiO has poor electrical conductivity. Herein, we develop a method to make TiO coating highly conductive by doping Ca into the TiO lattice based on the introduction of graphene.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Diabetes mellitus-induced erectile dysfunction (DMED) is one of the most common complications of diabetes mellitus. Leech and centipede granules (LCG) have traditionally been used as blood-activating agents in various ethnomedicinal systems of East Asia, especially in China. It is often used to regulate bodily functions and considered as adjuvant therapy for promoting blood circulation, alleviating blood coagulation, activating meridians, and relieving stasis.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the significant complications of diabetes mellitus (DM), and CASR plays an important role in cellular antiapoptosis and NO production in the vascular endothelium by activating PKC. The present study was aimed to investigate the efficacy of Leech and Centipede Granules (LCG) through the CaSR/PLC/PKC signaling. Fifty male Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with streptozotocin to induce the DM model.

Orthogonal test design for optimization of the extraction of flavonid from the Fructus Gardeniae.

Objective: It is imperative to provide some consistent experimental results for the extraction of flavonid from Fructus Gardeniae.

Methods: The key extraction parameters that influenced the yield of flavonid from Fructus Gardeniae were optimized by employing an orthogonal experiment [L(9)(3)(4)], including the ratio of buffer solution (Na(2)B(4)O(7)·10H(2)O) to raw material, concentration of Fructus Gardeniae in extracting solution, extraction time and pH of buffer solution. An UV/Vis detector was used to perform the qualitative and quantitative analyses of the extracted flavonid with the using of the standard sample.
