With changing lifestyles, the demand for bone implantation has been increasing day by day. The deficiency of nutritious elements within the human body results in certain diseases like osteoporosis, rickets, and other skeletal disorders; lack of physical activities; and the increasing number of accidents are the primary reasons for bone damage/fracture. Metallic implants made up of chrome steel, cobalt-based alloys, and titanium-based alloys are being majorly used worldwide owing to their high strength and high corrosion resistance which makes them permanent orthopedic bioimplant materials, however, they display a stress-shielding effect and it also requires an implant removal surgery.

CNT/polymer interface in polymeric composites and its sensitivity study at different environments.

The environmental durability of polymer based composites has always been a critical concern over its short- and long-term performances. The degree of environmental degradation is supposed to have different mechanisms and kinetics at the polymer/reinforcement interfaces in comparison to the bulk polymer matrix. Differential degradation could possibly attribute a stressed state in the material, especially at the interfaces.

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activities of His(2-aryl)-Arg and Trp-His(2-aryl) Classes of Dipeptidomimetics.

In this communication, we report the design, synthesis and antimicrobial activity of ultra short peptidomimetics. Besides producing promising antibacterial activities against and methicillin-resistant (MRSA), the dipeptidomimetics exhibited high antifungal activity against with IC values in the range of 0.16-19 μg/mL.
