Article Synopsis
  • Malignant struma ovarii (MSO) is a rare ovarian tumor with thyroid tissue, posing diagnostic and treatment challenges; the study aimed to analyze data and utilize machine learning for understanding prognostic factors and management.
  • The research leveraged the SEER database and employed Cox regression along with five machine learning algorithms to predict 5-year survival outcomes, validating their accuracy through various methods.
  • Key findings indicated that older age, being unmarried, chemotherapy, and the number of tumors were poor prognostic indicators, with the multilayer perceptron model being the most effective for predicting outcomes.
