Detecting respiration in a non-intrusive manner is beneficial not only for convenience but also for cases where the traditional ways cannot be applied. This paper presents a novel simple low-cost system where ambient Wi-Fi signals are acquired by a third-party tool (Nexmon) installed in a Raspberry Pi and is able to detect the respiration time domain waveform of a person. This tool was selected as it uses 80 MHz bandwidth of the Wi-Fi signal and supports the latest implementations that are widely used, such as 802.

In this paper, the adaptive beamforming patterns of microstrip patch antenna arrays on changing flexible (or conformal) curved surfaces are developed by deriving array coefficients based on the projection method that includes the mutual coupling between elements. A linear four-element microstrip patch antenna array is then embedded on two deformed conformal surfaces to investigate the projection method for desired beamforming patterns.

In these arrays, it is critical to isolate the adjacent antennas to prevent unwanted interaction between them. Fifth generation absorbers, in this regard, are the recent interest of many researchers nowadays.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA compact flexible multi-frequency antenna for smart portable and flexible devices is presented. The antenna consists of a coplanar waveguide-fed slotted circular patch connected to a rectangular secondary resonator (stub). A thin low-loss substrate is used for flexibility, and a rectangular stub in the feedline is deployed to attain wide operational bandwidth.

Stent platforms are prone to fracture while incidental data are demonstrating a potential unfavorable outcome. Predisposing factors usually involve long lesions and tortuous vessels requiring more than one stent. This issue is magnified when it involves a periprocedural iatrogenic left internal mammary artery (LIMA) and subclavian artery dissection.

Our objective was to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity for detecting elevated left ventricular filling pressures using a model for PCWP estimation, based on the clinical assessment of RAP and association between RAP and PCWP, which is unique for each patient, identified in a recent right heart catheterization (RHC).
Methods: The study included 377 patients (age, 54.
Amyloidosis is a systemic disease affecting many organs, characterized by the deposition and accumulation of hyaline, eosiniphilic and proteinaceous material in various tissues. This report presents a patient with anurea caused by primary amyloidosis of the lower third of the ureters, the ureterovesical junction and the urinary bladder.
