Memory deficits are common in patients with dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease, but also in patients with other neurological and psychiatric disorders, such as brain injury, multiple sclerosis, ischemic stroke and schizophrenia. Memory loss affects patients' functionality and, by extension, their quality of life. Non-invasive brain training methods, such as EEG neurofeedback, are used to address cognitive deficits and behavioral changes in dementia and other neurological disorders by training patients to alter their brain activity via operant activity.

Objective: We aimed to examine if single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) can discriminate between variants of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). As a secondary investigation we identify and establish the linguistic differences between those variants.

Materials And Methods: Nine patients with semantic variant primary progressive aphasia (svPPA), 8 with non-fluent variant primary progressive aphasia (nfvPPA) and 17 with behavioral variant of frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD) were compared on Addenbrooke's cognitive examination-revised (ACE-R), auditory comprehension, oral expression and verbal fluency.

IgG antibodies to myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) detected by cell based assays (CBA) have been identified in a constantly expanding spectrum of CNS demyelinating disorders. However, a universally accepted CBA has not been adopted yet. We aimed to analyze the clinical and radiological features of patients with anti-MOG IgG1-antibodies detected with a live-cell CBA and to compare the three most popular MOG-CBAs.
