Laryngopyocoele with contralateral laryngocoele: a rare cause of respiratory distress.

We present the case of a 76-year-old patient who attended our emergency department with signs of sepsis and severe respiratory distress. She had stridor, type 1 respiratory failure and a left-sided neck swelling. On CT, it was initially misdiagnosed as parapharyngeal abscess.
