Evaluation of models to estimate the actual evapotranspiration of soybean crop subjected to different water deficit conditions.

Optimization of water use for irrigation will only be possible with the adjustment of management, which is directly related to the correct estimate of the actual evapotranspiration of the crop. The present study aimed to evaluate different mathematical approaches used in estimating the actual evapotranspiration of a new soybean cultivar (BRS 7581RR) subjected to different water deficit conditions. For this, the ETa estimated by the FAO56 Dual, Jensen and Hermann, AquaCrop and Ritchie models was evaluated.

[Hospital management in Brazil: a review of the literature with a view toenhance administrative practices in hospitals].

Hospitals are complex organizations which, in addition to the technical assistance expected in the context of treatment and prevention of health hazards, also require good management practices aimed at improving their efficiency in their core business. However, in administrative terms, recurrent conflicts arise involving technical and managerial areas. Thus, this article sets out to conducta review of the scientific literature pertaining to the themes of hospital management and projects that have been applied in the hospital context.

The oxygen reduction reaction is one of the most important chemical processes in energy converting systems and living organisms. Mediator-less, direct electro-catalytic reduction of oxygen to water was achieved on spectrographite electrodes modified by physical adsorption of bilirubin oxidases from Myrothecium verrucaria. The existence of an alternative resting form of the enzyme is validated.
