Regulating nuclear export precisely is essential for maintaining mRNA homeostasis and impacts tumor progression. However, the mechanisms governing nuclear mRNA export remain poorly elucidated. Herein, it is revealed that the enhanced hypoxic long no-ncoding RNA (lncRNA prostate cancer associated transcript 6 (PCAT6) in breast cancer (BC) promotes the nuclear export of m6A-modified mRNAs, bolstering breast cancer stem cells (BCSCs) stemness and doxorubicin resistance.

Although drinking water distribution systems (DWDSs) have been considered as NTM reservoirs and a potential infection route, NTM community at the species level remain largely elusive in DWDSs. This study employed high-throughput sequencing coupled with qPCR to profile NTM community and estimate their abundances at the species level in water and biofilm samples in four DWDSs using three different disinfectants (i.

In recent years, they have garnered public attention due to increased microbial risks. However, our understanding of SWSS microbial ecology, particularly concerning the composition of eukaryotes and the underlying mechanisms driving microbial dynamics and assembly in SWSSs, remains elusive.

This study was designed to identify the predictive value of serum or ascitic heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) for SBP in this population.
Methods: In this cohort study, 60 patients with liver cirrhosis and ascites accompanied by SBP (studied cohort, n=26) or not (control cohort, n=34) were retrospectively included.

Methods: A total of 107 lung transplant patients from 2016 to 2020 were included in this study.
Objective: This review was conducted to systematically summarize the progress made by artificial intelligence technology in early screening based medical imaging, pathological diagnosis, genomics inspection, prognostic evaluation, and individual treatment of lung cancer.
Background: Lung cancer has a high mortality rate in China, which is closely related to the fact that most lung cancer patients are not diagnosed until the malignancy is advanced. Challenges remain in the early detection, accurate diagnosis, monitoring and individual treatment of lung cancers.
Introduction: Nowadays, immune checkpoint blockades (ICBs) have been extensively applied in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment. However, the outcome of anti-program death-1/program death ligand-1 (anti-PD-1/PD-L1) therapy is not satisfying in -mutant lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients and its exact mechanisms have not been fully understood. Since tumor mutation burden (TMB) and tumor immune phenotype had been thought as potential predictors for efficacy of ICBs, we further studied the TMB and immune phenotype in LUAD patients to explore potential mechanisms for poor efficacy of ICBs in positive mutated patients and to find possible factors that could impact the tumor immune phenotype which might uncover some new therapeutic strategies or combination therapies.

Single-cell sequencing (SCS) which has an unprecedentedly high resolution is an advanced technique for cancer research. Lung cancer still has a high mortality and morbidity. For further understanding the lung cancer, SCS is also been applied to lung cancer research to investigate its heterogeneity, metastasis, drug resistance, tumor microenvironment and many other issues.

Here, we conducted a statistical analysis to explore whether the curative efficacy of 2-cycle platinum-based chemotherapy can predict the survival of patients with SCLC.
Methods: Fifty-six SCLC patients who had each received 2 cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy were enrolled.
Objective: Our objective was to investigate the occurrence of opportunistic pathogens and characterize the bacterial community structures in the water system of a pulmonary hospital.
Methods: The water samples were collected from automatic and manual faucets in the consulting room, treatment room, dressing room, respiratory ward, and other non-medical rooms in three buildings of the hospital. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to quantify the load of several waterborne opportunistic pathogens and related microorganisms, including spp.
Background/aims: Stem cells or progenitor cells have been demonstrated as a novel alternative for cell therapy; however, their sustained efficacy is still debated. This study aimed to evaluate whether interleukin 10 (IL-10) gene-edited amniotic mesenchymal stem cells (AMM/I) contribute to left ventricular (LV) function and remodeling after acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
Methods: The IL-10 gene was integrated into the genomic locus of AMM via transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALEN) and AMM/I were intramyocardially transplanted into AMI mice models.
This study investigated the performance of rhamnolipids-citric acid mixed agents in simultaneous desorption of lindane and heavy metals from soils. The capacity of the mixed agents to solubilize lindane, lead and cadmium in aqueous solution was also explored. The results showed that the presence of citric acid greatly enhanced the solubilization of lindane and cadmium by rhamnolipids.
