Digital technology supporting English learning among Indonesian university students.

Worldwide, information technology now plays a substantial role in the daily life of most people, whether in the developed world or in developing countries, such as Indonesia. In this fourth most populated country in the world, information technology is widely used for everyday communications and entertainment purposes, as well as for supporting education. Using a survey of 496 students enrolled in a university in Jakarta, this paper reports on a study aimed at assessing the experiences of young Indonesian students undertaking online learning and the potential of this platform for English learning.

Motorcycle risky behaviours and road accidents among adolescents in Jakarta metropolitan area, Indonesia.

Underage motorcycle riding in Indonesia has long been and continues to be common among its citizens. This study aimed to analyse motorcycle risky behaviours associated with motorcycle accidents among adolescents in Jakarta metropolitan area. This is a cross-sectional study employing a self-report survey of 3880 students from 37 junior and senior high schools in the Jakarta metropolitan area, Indonesia, between April and June 2019.

Knowledge, attitude and practice of cigarette smoking among senior secondary school students in Depok, Indonesia.

Background: Smoking behavior is primarily initiated and established during adolescence. Understanding the social context of smoking behavior among young people is required for developing strategies in preventing first tobacco use.

Objective: This study aimed at exploring the determinants of smoking behavior among senior secondary school students in Depok, Indonesia by identifying knowledge regarding smoking-related adverse outcomes, perception and attitude toward smoking behavior and tobacco control policy.
