Online polarization and cross-fertilization in multi-cleavage societies: the case of Spain.

The impact of the social media (SM) has been seen on the one hand as the cause of large exacerbation of negative messages, responsible for massively harmful societal phenomenon against democracies. On the other hand, recent studies have begun to look at how these online channels were able to provide a new impulse in human communication. The novelty of our work resides on analysing several axes of polarizations related to different societal topics.

Data maturity analysis and business performance. A Colombian case study.

Context: Colombia over the last decade has experienced a historic economic boom and Information Technology (IT) has been emerging as a tool to enable the competitiveness of companies. The last government (2014-2018) took different actions to explain how the use of data science and open data improve the business activity. The question to identify if there is a relationship between IT capacities, the organizational structure and the performance of the companies remains unresolved and is certainly an urgent issue for new government of Iván Duque.

Data on the sustainability profile and food waste management in primary and secondary schools: The case of the Catalonia region in Spain.

This paper presents data from a survey administered to 548 public and private school headteachers in Catalonia (Spain) in 2018 on sustainability practices and food waste management. Raw data were collected through a standardised and structured questionnaire (For more information refer to Building and managing sustainable schools: The case of food waste [1]). The variables of the dataset include items relative to the canteen management system, the school sustainability profile and perceptions on food waste generation and management.
