Estimating Ross 308 Broiler Chicken Weight Through Integration of Random Forest Model and Metaheuristic Algorithms.

For accurate estimation of broiler chicken weight (CW), a novel hybrid method was developed in this study where several benchmark methods, including Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Genetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Differential Evolution (DE), and Gravity Search Algorithm (GSA), were employed to adjust the Random Forest (RF) hyperparameters. The performance of the RF models was compared with that of classic linear regression (LR). With this aim, data (temperature, relative humidity, feed consumption, and CW) were collected from six poultry farms in Samsun, Türkiye, covering both the summer and winter seasons between 2014 and 2021.

The role of circulating miRNAs in the diagnosis of osteoporosis miRNAs in osteoporosis.

Objective: Osteoporosis, defined as a systemic skeletal disease, is characterized by increased bone fragility and fracture risk. Studies have shown that dysregulation of the functions of miRNAs or the mechanisms they mediate may be an important pathological factor in bone degeneration. Objective: Screening tests are recommended to identify genetic defects, chromosomal aneuploidies, and structural birth defects. Sonographic and maternal serum-based options are available for the risk assessment of aneuploidy in the first and/or second trimester. Also, invasive diagnostic methods, such as amniocentesis, are used for prenatal diagnosis, but these methods carry a tangible risk to the fetus.

Expression and Characterization of a New Self-Sufficient P450 Monooxygenase (P450 AZC1) from Azorhizobium caulinodans.

Oxyfunctionalization of non-activated carbon bonds by P450 monooxygenases has drawn great industrial attraction. Self-sufficient P450s containing catalytic heme and reductase domains in a single polypeptide chain offer many advantages since they do not require external electron transfer partners. Drug provocation test (DPT) without skin tests is increasingly recommended in the evaluation of children with low-risk beta-lactam (BL) allergies. However, risk definitions are unclear. The aim of this study was to compose a clinical predictive model that could identify the children at low risk who could safely undergo direct DPT.

Developmental evaluation in children experiencing febrile convulsions.

Background: The objective of this study was to determine the effect of febrile convulsion (FC) on neuromotor development.

Methods: Data of 325 patients, who were followed up at our outpatient clinic and diagnosed with FC between January 2012 and December 2018, were retrospectively evaluated. Of these patients, 203 underwent the Denver Developmental Screening Test II (DDST II) and were included in the study as the patient group and 100 healthy children as the control group.

Method And Results: The records of 140 patients applied to Mersin University Pediatric Neurology Outpatient Clinic between 2011 and 2019 with the complaint of premature closure of the anterior fontanelle were retrospectively reviewed. Patients with microcephaly, craniosynostosis, infection, sequelae of hypoxia-ischemia, metabolic disorders, intracranial hemorrhage, epilepsy, endocrine problems, and dysmorphic features were excluded from the study.
