Dichloro(l-histidine)copper(II) crystal ([Cu(l-His)Cl] complex) was obtained by the slow evaporation method and characterized concerning its thermal stability, phase transformations, and electronic and vibrational properties. X-ray diffraction (XRPD) confirmed that this complex crystallizes with an orthorhombic structure (222 space group). Thermal analyses (TG and DTA) demonstrate stability from ambient temperature up to 460 K, followed by a phase transition from the orthorhombic structure to the amorphous form around 465 K, as confirmed by temperature-dependent XRPD studies.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare histiocytic neoplastic disorder that mainly affects the skin and bones, with dermatological manifestations that can be easily confused with other dermatological conditions, such as seborrheic eczema, psoriasis, lesions of herpes simplex virus infection, fungal infection, lichen planus, and cutaneous lymphomas. This case report describes an eight-month-old infant who, at a child health appointment, presented with progressive erythematous papulovesicular lesions, initially treated with hygiene measures (skin hydration and hygiene) and mupirocin ointment, but which persisted and worsened, leading to a skin biopsy. The diagnosis of self-limiting congenital histiocytosis was confirmed, and the child was referred to the Portuguese Oncology Institute.

The present study aims to provide a systematic review of studies on the essential and nonessential metal exposure at occupational level, genotoxicity, and polymorphisms and to answer the following questions: Are genetic polymorphisms involved in metal-induced genotoxicity? In this study, 14 publications were carefully analyzed in this setting. Our results pointed out an association between polymorphism and genotoxicity in individuals exposed to metals, because 13 studies (out of 14) revealed positive relations between genotoxicity and polymorphisms in xenobiotics metabolizing and DNA repair genes. Regarding the quality of these findings, they can be considered reliable, as the vast majority of the studies (12 out of 14) were categorized as strong or moderate in the quality assessment.

In this context, the objective of this study was to determine the dose of organomineral fertilizer from cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum) residues and the efficiency of Trichoderma harzianum on the initial growth and morphophysiological quality of Mezilaurus itauba seedlings in the northern Amazon.
