The microenvironmental changes in peritoneal dialysis effluent (PDE) after long-term vintage (LV) of PD in patients with ultrafiltration failure (LV_UF) are unclear. Single-cell sequencing revealed that peritoneal neutrophils were elevated in LV_UF patients, while MRC1-macrophage subcluster decreased compared with PD patients with short vintage (SV) and LV without ultrafiltration failure (LV_NOT_UF). Compared with the LV_NOT_UF group, the upregulated differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of monocytes/macrophages in the LV_UF group were involved in inflammatory response and EMT progress.

Pecan (Carya illinoinensis) is a globally important nut crop, yet the processes of lipid biosynthesis and spatial lipid distribution within its embryo remain poorly understood. This study employed UHPLC-MS/MS and MALDI-MSI to profile lipids in developing pecan embryos, identifying 401 lipid molecules, including a high abundance of glycerolipids (148) and glycerophospholipids (144). Differential diacylglycerols showed gradual uptrends, highlighting their role in synthesizing glycerolipids and glycerophospholipids.

Maintaining the surface structure stability of LiCoO (LCO) during rapid charge-discharge processes (>5C) and under high-voltage conditions (>4.2 V) is challenging due to interfacial side reactions, cobalt dissolution, and oxygen redox activity at deeply delithiated states, all of which contribute to performance degradation. Herein, different from traditional surface coating methods, we report a water-mediated strategy that modifies the surface architecture of LCO, creating a passivating layer to inhibit surface degradation and enhance cycling stability under fast charging conditions.
