Background: Accurate diagnosis and evaluation of Williams Syndrome (WS) are essential yet challenging for effective surgical management. This study aimed to quantify the hemodynamic changes of surgical repair for WS through virtual surgery and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for surgical guidance and postoperative evaluation.
Methods: A patient preliminarily diagnosed with WS was included in this study.
An anomalous left coronary artery originating from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) refers to the abnormal origin of the left coronary artery either from the main pulmonary artery, pulmonary artery sinus, or the left and right pulmonary arteries, with the main pulmonary artery or pulmonary artery sinus being the most common sites. If not diagnosed and treated promptly, this condition can result in death within the first year of life in 90% of patients. Asymptomatic children can survive into adulthood, but they are at a high risk of sudden death.

Only two patients developed valve leaflet escape, so valve leaflet escape is a rare postoperative complication.
Case Presentation: In 2010 and 2021, two patients were selected after they had unilateral leaflet escape after having mechanical valve replacements in Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Guangyuan First People's Hospital.
Background: Although tripartite motif-containing protein 11 (TRIM11) is known to be associated with a variety of cancers, its role in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is unclear.
Methods And Results: To investigate the role of TRIM11 in NPC, TRIM11 was stably overexpressed in 6-10B and CNE2 cells with lentiviral vectors and knocked down in S18 and 5-8F cells using the CRISPR/Cas9 system. Transwell assays and wound-healing assays revealed that TRIM11 facilitated the migration and invasion of NPC cells.
Accurate diagnosis and surgical selection of the double-outlet right ventricle (DORV) is both critical and difficult. Virtual models and three-dimensional (3D) printing have been used to provide morphological copies to doctors as reference. However, the existing methods have shortcomings in visualization of the surgical results, optimal surgical design, and accurate surgical scheme measurements.

Two modeling methods were applied in the diagnosis of 8 cases, and two control groups consisting of experts and students diagnosed the cases using echocardiography with computed tomography, blood pool models, and myocardial models. The importance, suitability, and simulation degree of different models were analyzed.

Objective: The study aimed to collect case data on cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) sieve-shaped (S-S) and non-sieve-shaped (N-S-S) atrial septal defects (ASDs).
Methods: We analysed and summarized the postoperative blood flow in the cardiopulmonary system. We retrospectively collected 86 patients who underwent CPB S-S and N-S-S ASD repair.
Objective: To assess the feasibility and accuracy of 3D printing with prenatal three-dimensional ultrasound (3DUS) in the diagnosis of fetal abnormalities.
Methods: Fetuses initially diagnosed with various abnormalities were included in this retrospective study. The fetuses were examined by 3DUS, modeled, and 3D printed, and the dimensional accuracy of the 3D prints was analyzed.
Background: The aim of our study was to observe and compare the curative effect of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy, as well as comprehensive treatment on superior vena cava syndrome (SVCS) caused by malignant etiology.
Methods: A total of 48 patients with malignant SVCS admitted to our hospital from 2015 to 2020 were selected in this study. According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into radiotherapy group (group 1, 10 cases), chemotherapy group (group 2, 8 cases), combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy group (group 3, 22 cases), and comprehensive treatment group (group 4, 8 cases).

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to review the outcomes of surgical treatment in patients with aorto-left ventricular tunnel and to investigate what kind of patient cohort is more likely to have adverse events.
Methods: Twenty-one patients with a median age of 6.58 [interquartile range (IQR) 4.
Cardioplegic reperfusion during a long-term ischemic period interrupts cardiac surgery and increases cellular edema due to repeated administration. The present clinical study compared the protective effects of histidine-ketoglutarate-tryptophan (HTK) solution and St. Thomas crystalloid cardioplegia.

This study reviews 20years of surgical treatment in a single center and aims to establish the optimal surgical strategies for this rare pathology.
Methods And Results: From April 1994 to March 2015, 96 consecutive patients aged from 3months to 60years underwent coronary repair surgery.
Extended septal myectomy for children and adolescents with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) is a challenging procedure, and related data are currently limited. Our study objective was to assess the early outcomes in children and adolescents with HOCM after extended septal myectomy. From October 2007 to August 2015, 40 consecutive patients with HOCM underwent transaortic extended septal myectomy in Fuwai Hospital, Beijing, China.

Background: Placement of an external support has been reported to prevent intimal hyperplasia of vein grafts. However, it's application limited by potential complications. Peri-adventitial gene delivery is a promising alternative therapy to reduce intimal hyperplasia, but it is limited by low and transient levels of gene transfection.
