The study aimed to evaluate the psychometric qualities of the Child Stress Disorders Checklist (CSDC), a tool for assessing acute stress and posttraumatic symptoms in kids.
The CSDC was tested with parents of children who suffered acute burns and those involved in traffic accidents, measuring things like interrater reliability and various types of validity.
The results indicated that the CSDC has strong reliability and validity, making it a useful tool for both clinical practice and research concerning children's stress responses.
