Validation of the Spanish language version of the control of allergic rhinitis and asthma test.

Allergic rhinitis and asthma are common diseases that frequently coexist, referred to as unified airway disease. There is currently no validated scale in Spanish, which allows simultaneous evaluation of both conditions. A translation from Portuguese to Spanish was therefore performed.

[Topical corticosteroids in recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Systematic review].

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the topical corticosteroids compared to a placebo in shortening the clinical course and recurrence of aphthous stomatitis.

Materials And Method: The inclusion criteria and the literature review databases were defined using MEDLINE, Lilacs, SciELO, and EMBASE. The quality of the studies was evaluated using the Jadad scale.

New approaches to the management of peripheral vertigo: efficacy and safety of two calcium antagonists in a 12-week, multinational, double-blind study.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety profile of one 30-mg nimodipine oral tablet taken three times per day (one tablet with breakfast, one with lunch, and one with dinner) or one 150-mg cinnarizine verum oral capsule taken once each day with dinner for 12 weeks.

Study Design: Comparative in a double-blind, multinational pilot study.

Setting: Tertiary referral center.
