Recent development in the synthesis of imidazo[1,5-]indole derivatives: an in-depth overview.

In the realm of nitrogen-fused heterocycles, imidazo[1,5-]indole and its derivatives are recognized as privileged structural patterns in various pharmaceutical drugs and biologically active natural products, emphasizing their significance. This review comprehensively explores the synthetic strategies for constructing imidazo[1,5-]indole scaffolds, with a particular focus on transition metal-catalyzed methodologies. The primary highlighted method is [4 + 1] annulation, along with other notable approaches such as C-H activation/cyclization, enantioselective C-H annulation, intramolecular hydroamination, and double cyclization processes.

Prolonging the stability of cetuximab (Erbitux®) and panitumumab (Vectibix®): An orthogonal assessment of physicochemical, biological and microbiological properties of original opened glass vials and diluted saline preparations.

The two anti-epidermal growth factor receptor monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) cetuximab and panitumumab are the pillars for the treatment of EGFR-positive, KRAS wild-type metastatic colorectal cancers. However, stability data of these mAbs are generally missing or incomplete. Here, we report for the first time an orthogonal analysis of the stability of cetuximab (Erbitux®) and panitumumab (Vectibix®), either undiluted vial leftovers or saline dilutions in polyolefin/polyamide infusion bags.

Synthesis, X-ray characterization and DFT analysis of dicyanidoaurate telluronium salts: on the importance of charge assisted chalcogen bonds.

In this manuscript we report the synthesis and X-ray characterization of two cyanidoaurate telluronium salts, namely (3-fluorophenyl)(methyl)(phenyl)telluronium dicyanidoaurate [(3-F-Ph)(Me)(Ph)Te][Au(CN)] (1) and methyldiphenyltelluronium dicyanidoaurate [(Me)(Ph)Te][Au(CN)] (2). In the solid state, the tellurium atom establishes three concurrent and directional chalcogen bonds (ChBs) with the adjacent anions, in both compounds. These charge-assisted ChBs (CAChBs) have been analyzed using DFT calculations and several computational tools.

Mono-, Bis-, and Tris-Chelate Zn(II) Complexes with Imidazo[1,5-]pyridine: Luminescence and Structural Dependence.

New mono-, bis-, and tris-chelate Zn(II) complexes have been synthesized starting from different Zn(II) salts and employing a fluorescent 1,3-substituted-imidazo[1,5-]pyridine as a chelating ligand. The products have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction; mass spectrometry; and vibrational spectroscopy. The optical properties have been investigated to compare the performances of mono-, bis-, and tris-chelate forms.

The moderating role of trust in government adoption e-service during Covid-19 pandemic: health belief model perspective.

The present paper discusses the influence of factors in the health belief model (HBM) on adopting government e-services during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Furthermore, the present study demonstrates the moderating effect of trust in HBM. Therefore, we propose an interacting model between trust and HBM.

Anion···Anion [AuI]···[AuI] Complex Trapped in the Solid State by Tetramethylammonium Cations.

A discrete π-hole···σ-hole dimer is synthesized and X-ray characterized. It presents a perfect thumbtack geometry where the σ-hole of the linear [AuI] anion points to the π-hole located above the central Au-atom of the [AuI] anion. Such discrete π-hole···σ-hole dimers are unprecedented in literature, since all mixed-valence gold(I/III) iodide compounds reported to date form infinite ···([AuI]···[AuI]) ·· chains in the solid state.

Depression in Diabetic Patients: What Is the Link With Eating Disorders? Results of a Study in a Representative Sample of Patients With Type 1 Diabetes.

Background And Purpose: Comorbidity between diabetes and depression, and diabetes and eating disorders (ED) conveys significant diagnostic, clinical and therapeutic implications. The present study was conducted on a sample of adult outpatients affected by Type 1 Diabetes (T1DM) to assess lifetime prevalence of ED; current prevalence of depression and Disturbed Eating Behaviors (DEB) and their impact on glycemic control. We hypothesized that patients with depression would have higher rates of lifetime ED and current DEB.

Comparison between patch test results of natural dyes and standard allergens in batik workers with occupational contact dermatitis.

Background: Occupational contact dermatitis (OCD) is a skin disorder caused by contact with any substances found in the workplace. Metallophilic interactions in silver(I) dicyanoaurate complexes.

This manuscript reports four new gold(I)-silver(I) complexes with 2-(2-pyridyl)-1,8-naphthyridine (pyNP) and terpyridine (terpy) as ancillary ligands, having formulae [Ag(pyNP)(Au(CN))] (1), [AgAu(μ-CN)(CN)(pyNP)] (2), [AgAu(μ-CN)(terpy)][Au(CN)] (3) and [AgAu(μ-CN)(terpy)(py)] (4). Complexes 1 and 2 are structural isomers obtained from different solvents. The Au(CN) anion is not coordinated and establishes intramolecular Au⋯Ag,Ag interactions in 1.

HgBrI: a possible tecton for NLO molecular materials?

Mixed mercury(II) halogenides have been known for a long time as good NLO (non-linear optic) materials. The NLO properties are due to the halogen disposition in the solid state and the electron distribution among the bonds formed by soft elements. We investigated the possibility of using HgBrI as a asymmetric tecton in the preparation of noncentrosymmetric crystalline compounds, by exploiting the coordinating power of Hg(II) toward N-donor ligands, and seven coordination complexes have been obtained.

Cyclodextrin based palladium catalysts for Suzuki reaction: An overview.

The Suzuki reaction is one of the most effective methods for the formation of carbon-carbon bonds and is of great utility in organic synthesis. Recently, cyclodextrin based palladium catalysts were found to be very selective, convenient and efficient for Suzuki cross-coupling reactions. This review focuses on such cyclodextrin systems of palladium which act as efficient catalysts with high catalytic activity and recyclability in Suzuki reaction and covers literature up to 2019.

Bridging Solution and Solid-State Chemistry of Dicyanoaurate: The Case Study of Zn-Au Nucleation Units.

The behavior in solution of the dicyanoaurate anion in the presence of other metal centers has so far been little explored, despite its importance in material science. The design and synthesis of systems with controlled coordination behavior, using chelating ligands and Zn, has allowed us to detect self-assembly and oligomerization in solution. This phenomenon has been studied with C and H NMR, absorption and emission UV-vis spectroscopy, ESI-MS, and XAS at both the Au L-edge and Zn K-edge: all of these techniques confirm the presence of Au-Zn aggregation products.

Autoluminescent Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs): Self-Photoemission of a Highly Stable Thorium MOF.

A novel thorium(IV) metal-organic framework (MOF), Th(2,6-naphtalenedicarboxylate), has been synthesized via solvothermal reaction of thorium nitrate and 2,6-naphtalendicarboxilyc acid. This compound shows a new structural arrangement with an interesting topology and an excellent thermal resistance, as the framework is stable in air up to 450 °C. Most notably, this MOF, combining the radioactivity of its metal center and the scintillation property of the ligand, has been proven capable of spontaneous photon emission.

Human Ageing Genomic Resources: new and updated databases.

In spite of a growing body of research and data, human ageing remains a poorly understood process. Over 10 years ago we developed the Human Ageing Genomic Resources (HAGR), a collection of databases and tools for studying the biology and genetics of ageing. Here, we present HAGR's main functionalities, highlighting new additions and improvements.

Assessment of eating disorders with the diabetes eating problems survey - revised (DEPS-R) in a representative sample of insulin-treated diabetic patients: a validation study in Italy.

Background: The purpose of the study was to evaluate in a sample of insulin-treated diabetic patients, with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, the psychometric characteristics of the Italian version of the DEPS-R scale, a diabetes-specific self-report questionnaire used to analyze disordered eating behaviors.

Methods: The study was performed on 211 consecutive insulin-treated diabetic patients attending two specialist centers. Lifetime prevalence of eating disorders (EDs) according to DSM-IV and DSM-5 criteria were assessed by means of the Module H of the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM IV Axis I Disorder and the Module H modified, according to DSM-5 criteria.

EPR and photophysical characterization of six bioactive oxidovanadium(IV) complexes in the conditions of in vitro cell tests.

A number of oxidovanadium(IV) complexes have been reported to display anticancer activity. A theranostic approach, based on the simultaneous observation of both the effect of oxidovanadium(IV) complexes on cell viability and the disclosure of their intracellular fate, is possible by using oxidovanadium(IV) complexes functionalized with fluorescent ligands. In the present study we accomplished the characterization of six oxidovanadium(IV) complexes in conditions close to those employed for in vitro administration.

The vibrational spectroscopy of the coordinated azide anion; a theoretical study.

The vibrational behaviour of the azide anion in a variety of environments has been examined by DFT methods. The frequency is sensitive to polar, dipolar and quadrupolar fields. The frequency is also dependent on the metal to which it is bonded and thus to the details of that bonding.

Aims: This study aimed to compare the performance of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) symptom severity criteria established by the Remission in Schizophrenia Working Group (RSWG) with criteria based on Clinical Global Impression (CGI) severity score. The 6-month duration criterion was not taken into consideration.
