Objectives: The aim of this research was to find the acupoint combinations of manual and electro-acupuncture to treat chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting via the complex networks analysis.
Methods: We conducted searches using PubMed, ScienceDirect, MEDLINE, Ovid, spring, Wiley, EMBASE, the Chinese biomedicine database, VIP information network, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure from the establishment of the databases to the August, 2023. Information about titles, journals, interventions, and main acupoints was extracted using the self-established "acupoint for prevention CINV data base" powered by EpiData.
Recent efforts have been directed toward the development of universal influenza vaccines inducing broadly neutralizing antibodies to conserved antigenic supersites of Hemagglutinin (HA). Although several studies raise the importance of glycosylation in HA antigen design, whether this theory can be widely confirmed remains unclear; which influenza HA with an altered glycosylation profile could impact the amplitude and focus of the host immune response. Here, we evaluated the characteristics and efficacy of deglycosylated modified HA proteins, including monoglycosylated HA (HA), unglycosylated HA (HA), and fully glycosylated HA (HA), without treatment with H3N2 Wisconsin/67/2005.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTwo lineages of influenza B viruses (IBV) co-circulating in human beings have been posing a significant public health burden worldwide. A substantial number of broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) have been identified targeting conserved epitopes on hemagglutinin (HA) stem domain, posing great interest for universal influenza vaccine development. Various strategies to design immunogens that selectively present these conserved epitopes are being explored.

Here we aim to compare the specific and nonspecific effects of electroacupuncture with four types of sham acupuncture.
Methods: In this double-blind, sham-controlled study, we randomly assigned 175 patients with neck pain to receive 10 sessions of electroacupuncture, shallow puncture, nonacupoint deep puncture, nonacupoint shallow puncture, or nonpenetration acupuncture.
. Although recent evidence has shown a new role of fluoxetine in motor rehabilitation, results are mixed. We conducted a randomized clinical trial to evaluate whether combining repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) with fluoxetine increases upper limb motor function in stroke.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFIntroduction: Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is a common chronic pain disorder that lacks effective diagnostic criteria. To better understand neurophysiological changes in chronic pain, several trials exploring corticospinal excitability in different populations of patients with chronic pain have been performed.
Objectives: In this systematic review, we aimed to investigate the current literature on MPS and intracortical disinhibition, by means of increased intracortical facilitation and decreased intracortical inhibition (ICI).
Background: A large number of randomized trials on the use of acupuncture to treat chronic pain have been conducted. However, there is considerable controversy regarding the effectiveness of acupuncture. We designed a randomized trial involving patients with chronic neck pain (CNP) to investigate whether acupuncture is more effective than a placebo in treating CNP.
